The Kingsbridge Osteopathic Clinic

WHAT DO OSTEOPATHS DO?

I am a Registered Osteopath and I treat people of all ages from newborns to the elderly. Osteopaths treat joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves throughout the body, not just in the back ! We use gentle manipulation, mobilisation or massage to relieve pain, stiffness, headaches and postural problems. About 50% of our work is treating lower back problems; the neck is the next most common area we treat, but we also treat some of the smallest joints and muscles in the body, in the hand, foot and skull for example. I practice both cranial and structural Osteopathy.

Osteopathy specialises in the diagnosis, management, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal problems and other related disorders.

MY QUALIFICATIONS

I graduated 20 years ago from the British School of Naturopathy and Osteopathy (now called the British College of Osteopathic Medicine). I have a Batchelor of Science in Osteopathic Medicine as well as diplomas in Osteopathy and Naturopathy. My dissertation was on colic in Paediatric Osteopathy. I have worked in the South of England and in New Zealand. I’ve treated children of all ages throughout my 20 years of practice.
