South Milton Sands Beach - South Milton

This is a long sandy beach with lots of rock pools and a sand dune behind. It's probably the most popular beach as it has easy access and its perfect to build sandcastles, skim stones, play in the sea or sunbathe. A great family day out or a dog walk.

The bay has lovely clear water due to the geology of rock formations including the iconic Thurlestone Rock. Excellent for snorkeling and diving. Also keep an eye out for seals and dolphins which are often seen here as well as whale and basking shark.

Great windsurfing from this beach and kayaking is very popular too, navigating through the arch of the Rock is a 'must'.

Scuba diving is also popular here as the sunken wreck, Louis Sheid is an easy shore dive in less than 15m of water.
