Coastal Living provides all aspects of property management under one roof

Coastal Living provides all aspects of property management and lettings under one roof, when you see the blue sail, you can be assured you can trust the quality of the service.

Coastal Living has three branches - Coastal Living Property Management, Coastal Living Holidays and Coastal Living Linen. They are three branches of the same tree and all work together, giving you a one-stop-shop for everything your holiday home or rental property might need.

Stephanie Jones, Property Services Director, and Charlotte Grice, Lettings Director, have been providing a property management service in the South Hams for over a decade. Starting from the grass roots in 2011, they have prioritised looking after their staff, knowing their business, the area, with a keen eye for detail.

“Your local property management and holiday lettings experts”

“We have clients that we have had from day one”, explained Stephanie, “it is our priority to get to know our clients and therefore we know what they might need.

“It is our obligation to take the stress out of any situation. Our clients know they can have a peaceful journey down knowing everything will have been taken care of by Coastal Living before they arrive."

Charlotte agreed, saying: “We do all our maintenance in-house and we have years of experience working with our local tradespeople. They understand our business and respond quickly based on a relationship that has been established for over 10 years.

Coastal Living understands that with the Covid pandemic, staycations are at a premium this season and have responded accordingly to a booming industry. An ever-changing industry that Stephanie and Charlotte are able to gracefully adapt to.

“When we started, we had six children between us under nine-years-old”, Stephanie said, “We worked during the school holidays and that was it, it was busy, but it was six months of the year.”

“It’s not six months of the year anymore!” They both laugh.

Coastal Living are very much ahead of the game. Seeing a gap in the market they created a letting agency Coastal Living Holidays alongside their property management portfolio.

They have expanded again to encompass Coastal Living Linen which means the laundry can be turned around quickly, in-house and have a consistent quality control. This includes linen hire and contract laundry.

Coastal Living still have their eyes on the future. They are expanding their premises to incorporate a conference room, a dedicated pressing room and bringing in professional oven cleaning services by the end of this summer.

Coastal Living also works hard to support and work alongside other local businesses. They ensure that every one of their properties has a welcome pack, tailored to the client and making the most of where they are staying. They are locals with invaluable local knowledge!

Stephanie said: “We want to stand out but balanced with supporting local businesses. We know how much the championing of other people in the area is key. We put our blood, sweat and tears into our company and we know other people do too.”

If running three branches of a business under one blue sail logo wasn’t enough, they are also adding another string to their bow with Coastal Life, a blog exploring inspirational local people, businesses, holiday venues and activities. Their first collaboration is with local clothing company Busby and Fox and property guru Harriet George. Our next blog celebrates our 10 year anniversary and as a team we paddle boarded from Aveton Gifford to Bigbury on sea on two XL boards!

“We all know the importance of pre-booking for activities and venues”, Charlotte explained, “Coastal Life will help us encourage clients to get their itinerary booked in advance of their holiday, meaning they are never disappointed. We stay on the cutting edge of the best things to do and places to go in the South Hams!

“It is all about creating the best bespoke and personal experience for our clients. It is impossible to book popular places in July and August! We aim to give clients a 'heads up' based on our knowledge and experience of the area, e.g. Recommend booking local experts like Simon and Mandy with South Hams SUP Walk Adventures."

It is not just their clients that Coastal Living looks after, their greatest asset is their team of loyal and hard working staff. It is a team effort.

They have staff members that they have had from the very beginning. They appreciate that people work hard when they feel like part of a team. They’re supported and given excellent training and it means that they have a real drive to do a good job.

“We are realistic and sympathetic to the job they have to do and they all work so hard, so we make sure we put on regular staff events and activities so they know how grateful we are to them. Our next event is a summer BBQ which we are all looking forward to!"

Coastal Living is a local business who goes above and beyond to provide a bespoke service for their clients. They pride themselves on a personal service. Only locals can provide local knowledge for the best possible holiday experience possible.

When you see the blue sail, you know you’re getting the best quality service, whether it is property management, holiday lettings or full changeover service.

Coastal Living are also looking to recruit and collaborate with smaller cleaning companies, so if you would like to learn more, email either Stephanie or Charlotte on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You can also find their listing HERE
