Everyone is welcome at The Mill Club, and if you become a member, you get discounts and a loyalty card.
The Mill Club in Kingsbridge is friendly, welcoming and bang up-to-date with the newest bar in town. There is a snooker table, a pool table, a jukebox, fruit machines and a dance floor and they hold monthly theme nights to really get the party started.
Another great advantage of The Mill Club is their very competitive pricing, including a discount and snooker for members.
Kath Banfield, vice-chair, said: “There are no restrictions to who can become a member, you don’t have to be connected to the Royal British Legion, you don’t have to be in the forces or a veteran, anyone can become a member and we welcome everyone.”
If you become a member, you can also get a loyalty card, which gives you further discounts and special offers. As a member you can also use the snooker facilities and take part in friendly snooker competitions.
The Mill Club also regularly hosts pool, darts and euchre competitions for members and non-members alike.
Kath continued: “There can be a bit of a misconception that it is for the ‘older’ clientele, but that is far from the truth, we have a group of young, vibrant and friendly regulars who enjoy coming here and taking advantage of our great atmosphere and great prices.
“We are throwing off our old image and showing off that we are open to everyone and a place where everyone can have a really great time.”
The Mill Club can also be rented for your private event and they host weddings, wakes, christenings and parties regularly, with delicious catering and a laid-back atmosphere.
The Mill Club is rented from the Royal British Legion, which was gifted the property on Western Backway many years ago, but the current establishment is financially separate - although they do usually support the Poppy Appeal and the RBL with their charity events, and they become to place to go after the Remembrance Services in November.
The next big event at The Mill Club is Kingsbridge Celebrates Christmas, which will transform the centre of the town into a market full of local companies and festive treats. Check them out on 4 December.
The Mill Club is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4.30pm to 8.30pm, Friday 4.30pm to 9.30pm and 1pm to 9.30pm on the weekend, although these times are flexible depending on functions, theme nights or just old-fashioned good nights.
