People were not given the opportunity for a democratic vote in deciding which council they would prefer to make decisions on their behalf and which impact on their lives and community in this dividing up of Devon. I can not see any tangible benefits for residents in so many areas and the cost to implement the division makes it seem a waste of money that could be used for more local decisions. If new PM Andy Burnham is serious about putting decisions more locally then I would urge him to listen to the voices against the plans and not force people to come under a different council just because it benefits two Devon cities rather than the majority of Devon rural residents who are extremely unhappy about this dividing up of Devon.

There's far too much pressure on young people to pass exams with high grades.
Back in my days the 1950's we were encouraged to work and do as well as we could. There was not the pressure then I am relieved to say.I therefore thoroughly enjoyed
school and student days. Aim High was our school moto. I did even if I didn't always achieve the highest grades and my tutors were always encouraging but there was never any pressure.

Do the lottery and pools next chance mate sure fire winner with that luck bung all involved a serious pile of dosh.

Now she has a penalty charge as they say she only paid for one hour when there for three! Nothing says you lose the free hours if you simply top up to stay longer-lost the first appeal so simply won't shop there again-anyone else fallen foul like this?

Car parking charging and restrictions does the retailers, library and cinema no good for their business.

We’re very lucky to have such a dedicated team making our town so attractive to visitors but, more importantly, to local people. We’re all cheered by our surroundings and you help to brighten our days. Thank you from Kingsbridge Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) members!

As do alot of my friends like me who are locals and pensioners!!! The trade the shops and market looses is awful!!!! The town and traders will cease and it will become a ghost town!!! No locals use them again!!! Your killing off the town!!!! Mind numbing.

Don’t miss it and get tickets while you can: call Jules McColl on 07584-905810 to book (£15 each), or go to kats-kingsbridge on line or buy them at the door and treat yourself to a session of feel-good therapy.

What a triumph for Christine Bonner and Jules McColl as joint directors and performers, together with Jasmine Cox, Jackie Hodges, Dina White, Andy Wood, Oli van Es, Brynn Walsh and Daryna Handzeshyna, who is a young talented Ukrainian newcomer to KATS. An enormous amount of work has gone into this production and how they managed to remember which version of the play Murder Most Foul they were meant to be performing as an amdram group I’ll never know!

Don’t forget you still have Thursday, Friday and Saturday if you believe that laughter is the best medicine!
