Canoe Adventures - Watersports Activities in Totnes, South Hams, Devon
Canoe Adventures offer waterbourne fun to everyone aboard 9-seat and 12-seat Longbow Voyager canoes, offering 4 to 5 hour guided expeditions on the magical River Dart in South Devon.
Book By-the-Boat or By-the-Seat. Special family rates. All ages welcome year round.
Canoes are like time-travelling, where the engine is the wooden paddle in your hand, and the wind and the waves and riverbank are the highway.
Outings go 4-5 hours and include riverside stops with options for ice cream, picnics and campfires, dining ashore, a winery visit, or a barbecue, by day or night.
Based at Tuckenhay beside the friendly Maltsters Arms, and at Stoke Gabriel on the shingle beach beside the licenced Rivershack Bistro, between nearby Dartmouth and Totnes. We can also transport our canoes to Salcombe and the Kingsbridge Estuary.
You will be rewarded by having fun, having some exercise and seeing some of the most beautiful scenery in South Devon.

Our Canadian Canoes are Safe and Stable
The canoe is Mankind's oldest vessel and is to be found all over the world. Although built in state-of-the-art materials, our 8 metre Voyager canoes Cheemaun, Tidewing, Melody and Miranda and our new, locally-built 9 metre canoes Longbow and Arrow, all follow the same pattern as the ancient dug-out and birch-clad vessels people have used since prehistory to explore, hunt and trade the rivers, waterways, lakes and seas.
Canoeing is a kind of time-travel.
Marvellous for families, Voyager canoes happily embark small children and adult novices as well as suiting bold adventurers.
The youngest guest-crew so far was little Sarah, then 12 days old. The eldest was Mr George, 87.
