Pete the owl man is basically a local celebrity, he takes various owls for walks around Totnes and Paignton, and nets the steam train with an owl on his arm as often as possible. He has a wealth of knowledge about all the animals (but especially the owls) and is great at engaging young children. All the volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable.
