Twisted Marine is an engineering company with a difference. We specialise in luxury yacht maintenance, brokerage and new boat sales. We are based in Salcombe and are proud of our history. Formerly known as Salcombe Marine Services, Twisted Marine is a sister company to the Land Rover Defender heritage firm based in Thirsk. Because of our acquisition we have over 30 years of marine engineering experience and are based at Lincombe Boatyard in Salcombe.

We are a comprehensive service specialist with the ability to provide turn-key solutions to enable easy access to the water. We have a range of new boat offerings from luxury RIBs to high performance Axopar based sport boats. We support our sales with storage and service packages, making boating in the Southwest as convenient as possible.  

Our engineering ethos is to pioneer engineering excellence in the Southwest. We can supply, repair and maintain all types of marine engines, including inboard, outboard, gearboxes and stern drives. With our fully loaded remote workshops, we are able to offer our engineering services across all of the South West and beyond.

Services

New Boat Sales and Brokerage  

We have a range of luxury RIBs and high performance sport boats which have been engineered with a difference. Our marine and motorsport engineering experience has enabled us to create a selection of truly incredible craft which are dialed in with performance and safety in mind. Our sport boat offering takes the Axopar range and turns it into something unseen in the marine industry before. The T300S has a bespoke Bahama Gold livery and racing inspired steering wheel with paddle shifters and bow thruster buttons, boosting the performance to over 50knots. Our RIB range starts from 3.5m in length and stretches to over 10m and 600HP.  We engineer things with an obsessive attention to detail with no compromises. Owning a Twisted is a privilege and puts you in a unique and anti-ordinary category. Our ethos is made better.

ENGINEERING

- Outboard specialists 

At the end of the season, we would recommend winterising your engine. This reduces the risk of problems due to corrosion & salt build up. If required, we can also carry out a full service, so your engine is ready for the new season. Our highly qualified engineers have been trained by Honda and are able to use their diagnostic software to solve the most difficult of issues. 

- Inboard specialists 

We have highly qualified engineers to carry out servicing work. Our engineers have been trained by Volvo Penta & Yanmar, to ensure we do the right job, first time, on your engine. We have specialised tools available, including diagnostic computers, to enable our work to be efficient & cost effective. Inboard engine servicing from £195 + VAT + parts as required.

SECURE STORAGE & MOORINGS

We offer storage ashore for your boat, with or without a trailer, all year round. Our undercover storage facilities are second to none in the area & comprise 2 secure barns for boats up to 30 feet (10 metres) in length. Our bespoke lifting equipment enables us to quickly move boats from storage to pontoon. We manage a small number of half-tide pontoon moorings in Salcombe, which sometimes become available to rent. We offer turn key boat packages where we can store, service and launch boats for owners.
