Salcombe Rigging Services has been established since 2000 operating from a mobile workshop, carrying out all manner of rigging work in the local area. We are very excited to announce that in early 2023 we are opening a workshop and shop in The New Schooner Court development in Salcombe Harbour. This gives us a permanent base to be able to provide our mast and rigging services for dinghies, racing , and cruising yachts in Salcombe and the surrounding areas.

Our experienced and friendly team can carry out all of your requirements, from supplying and fitting new masts and furling systems, back stay, bow sprit, spinnaker and reefing systems, booms, kickers, running rigging, mast electrics and much more.

We pride ourselves on offering a personal and bespoke service, tailored to the requirements of each individual job – whether we are working from our workshop, or on your home berth with our mobile workshop. We work very closely with our suppliers – including but not limited to; Harken, Spar Craft, Sta-Lok, Spinlock, Selden, Z-Spar and Marlow to ensure we are providing our customers with the highest quality equipment at the most affordable price. Our Winter servicing packages including sail service and laundering, mast and rigging inspection and winch servicing are very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.

INSPECTIONS & REPORTS

We conduct a 100 point, in-depth inspection of all wires, terminals, fittings, spreaders and chainplates looking for any signs of fatigue, crevice or galvanic corrosion. This comes with a full written report, including quotations for any recommended works. Inspections can be carried out whether the boat is afloat or ashore, with the mast up or down.
