The Crabshell Inn Kingsbridge - Gloriously situated and basks in the sun all day. Great eatery with ample parking and moorings.

The Crabshell has a reputation as an eatery of distinction with an increasingly acclaimed menu. Our pizza is a favourite amongst the locals and are an excellent solution to hungry children (and adults) just off the water or a bite to eat with the after work prosecco.

The Inn is “child friendly” and children of all ages are very welcome. There is an abundance of high chairs and a popular childrens’ menu.  We are also dog friendly as we have lots of space.  Kids love crabbing with us while the parents can relax and enjoy a meal with friends and family.

How to Get Here

From Kingsbridge, take the clearly signed road towards Dartmouth (A379) with the Estuary on your right for about 600 yards. The Crabshell Inn is past the first group of buildings you'll come to on your right. By the Crabshell sign, turn right into the pub's (free) quayside car park.

Alternatively by boat, follow the estuary up past the Egremont from Salcombe.

Its very chilled and relaxing during a calm evening and when its not too busy. It however can get very crowded, loud and especially packed inside the pub. The food is good, both the food and drinks here are quite pricey however.

The real bonus of visiting Kingsbridge for me is visiting this gorgeous waterside pub and cafe. The coffee is excellent, the food is amazing with so much choice and the relaxed atmosphere makes you feel at home. They also sell some lovely edible gifts to take home. Its a great place to go as a large group, for a family meal or as a cosy meal for two. First class. I love it equally by day and by night.
