Me and my husband have been to the Dodbrooke countless times and absolutely always order the exact same thing; the steak (him with peppercorn sauce , me with stilton - we're creatures of habit!). It's not that the rest of the menu isn't tempting, it's just that the steaks are too good not to have. You can order the steak any size you like - my husband generally goes for 12oz! The portions are generous, the prices are very affordable and the atmosphere is homely. It's just wonderful. Not at the Dodbrooke! We were made to feel very welcome and really looked after. Food cooked by the landlord was good value, good sized portions and very tasty.
