The Journeys End at Ringmore - Awarded Taste of the West 2014, Good Food, Good Beer, a popular destination for walks. Perfect!
The Journey's End Inn is a 13th Century Free House in the Village of Ringmore, which is on the South Devon coast in an area known as the South Hams. Ringmore is located between Modbury and Bigbury on Sea with access to Ayrmer Cove, a popular beach for those that want to get away from the crowds. More information about the beach can be viewed here.
Having four fires to enjoy in the winter months and with a main Bar area, Nelsons Bar, Dining room, The Story Room, Conservatory and Large Beer Garden, there’s plenty of room for everyone in the family.
Well supported by local residents, it manages to combine being a friendly village ‘local’, as well as a destination food pub.
Surrounded by thriving market Towns, stunning scenery and walks both coastal and inland The Journeys End Inn is a perfect place to stop and relax.
- Dogs are welcome in all areas.
We are usually very busy, so if you coming to eat we recommend reserving a table to avoid disappointment.
Good Food Always
Fresh local produce expertly combined by our chef Conor to bring you the best seasonal dishes, all year round. Here at The Journeys End the menu is inspired by the coastline and bordering landscapes of the South Hams with an emphasis on delicacy, simplicity and provenance.
All Produce is local to somewhere and someplace.
Conor believes it makes no sense to assume, just because a chef says a product is ‘Local’ automatically means that it is superior in some way. Conor buys his meats, Seafood, Dairy, Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs from a selection of ‘local’ areas because flavour and consistent quality are what count.
Where possible the ingredients are sourced within 30 miles of the pub.
Private Dining Room
‘Tailored to Your Taste’ no room hire or minimum spend, maximum capacity is 30 people, large groups will be offered a reduced menu or if preferable Conor will design a bespoke menu to accommodate your palate and budget.
Whole Suckling pig available (requires one weeks notice)
Good Beer Always
The Journeys End Inn is a place where beer drinkers can enjoy the finest perfectly cask conditioned real ale.
Tracy prides herself on stocking the real ales that her customers want EVERY week, which is why The Journeys End boasts such a loyal base of regulars.
Tracy stocks a wide range of real Ales with Doombar as the regular offering, Teignworthy, Skinners, Dartmoor, Otter, Hunters, Bays, and many more from Devon and Cornwall. All of the Ales are served straight from the Keg from behind the bar.
Ciders, Lager and of course Guinness are also always available.
