It always was a beautiful place in a lovely situation. Now the food is now sensational and the service a joy. The chef, Westy, is from Lucknham Park which perhaps explains the quality. They have their own farm producing all the meat and were happy to chat to us about how they source the best quality fish. We were a table of 14 and so between us shared the majority of dishes on the menu - not one dish was anything less than great. The soup was possibly the best I have ever had. Prices are absolutely fair for the quality. If I had one small criticism it would be that it was rather cold inside even though they had the log fires burning away. We can’t wait to return. Until now I would have said the Beckford Arms in Wiltshire was my favourite garsto pub but I think the Millbrook has now superseded it.
