Paul and Alex (Devon Property Specialists) look after our 2 holiday cottages. They are our managers, cleaners, decorators and generally can turn their hands to everything we throw at them! We have only owned our houses since March this year, and needed lots of work done. As our manager, Paul was able to gather together a reliable, skilled workforce of electricians, plumbers and decorators. As he is local, and been in this business for many years, he commands the respect and loyalty of these people, who will often 'go the extra mile' for him. When we have needed a service contractor urgently, Paul can use this pool of people and get the work done. After hearing from other owners the difficulties of using large companies, who send different cleaners each changeover day, we really wanted a personal touch, and a feeling that person cleaning knew our house and how we liked to arrange it for incoming guests. With Paul and Alex, we absolutely get that. One of them always supervises/cleans with their workforce. They have the same high standards that we do. The most important factor for us, in our search, was that the company we employed would be easily contactable and COMMUNICATED well with us. The large rental companies we contacted didn't even bother to contact us back despite sitting with us for an hour discussing their services! We knew we needed someone who would be fully available for us and our guests. Paul fits the bill, and we know when there is a problem, he doesn't hide, he gets straight to us. Finally, we both respect Paul and Alex, their work ethic and their drive to provide a great service.
