The skill in dog grooming is gained over many years and in addition to our already advanced qualifications Lisa ensures that herself and her team receive ongoing training in order to maintain the high standards urban paws is renowned for.
Our Grooming Services
Full Groom
This is the full works, inclusive of everything from a lovely warm bath to the finished hair style. The Styling of the dog following breed standards or the owner requests.
Handstripping
The stripping technique consists of removing the mature layer of coat in order for the shorter undercoat layer to be free to grow. This removal technique maintains the natural colour tone and texture of the coat.
Maintenance Groom
For those in-between grooms when clients who don't necessarily want a haircut but a bath and full brush out to help keep their dog’s skin and coat clean and healthy. We remove any tangles before a warm bath and blow dry.
Puppy Pamper
All puppies need to be introduced to the basic techniques of being handled and of course grooming to prepare them for their adult life.
We always encourage and highly recommend puppy grooming sessions. Sometimes just a simple bath, groom, nails and tidy of eyes, feet or any hygiene areas is a great learning experience for them. It helps get them used to being handled, brushed or even experience different noises, sights and smells.
