Welcome to Merrifield House Devon ... Adult only accommodation. Located just off the A379, between Churchstow (1 mile) and Aveton Gifford (2 miles); Kingsbridge (3.5 miles) and Salcombe (7 miles) with both Bantham (3.5 miles) and Bigbury-on-Sea (6 miles) just down the road. Merrifield House is surrounded by lush green fields, stunning views of Dartmoor National Park and near to South West Coastal Path.

Ideally situated to enjoy walking the South West Coastal Path, swimming, cycling, surfing, sailing, and exploring local beaches, nearby towns and the mysterious moors. From coast to country, the stunning area of South Hams, South Devon is the perfect base for a weekend break or an extended holiday – add yoga and a treatment for the ultimate relaxing getaway.

THE ROOMS AT MERRIFIELD HOUSE

Our accommodation is family-run and comprises of three rooms, all with en-suites, named after yoga poses.

Room One (Ustra Shala)

• Triple: 3 x Single or 1 x Double + 1 x Single

Room Two (Hala Shala)

• Double/ Twin: 2 x Single or 1 x Double

Room Three (Matsya Shala)

• Twin: 2 x Single 

 All of our mattresses are standard UK size. Please be sure to tell us the bed configuration you require before arrival.

CHILDREN & DOGS AT MERRIFIELD HOUSE

Our property is unsuitable for children. Therefore, we kindly request that accommodation is adult only (18 years+).

However, well-behaved dogs, are most welcome.

FOOD & REFRESHMENTS AT MERRIFIELD HOUSE

Our accommodation is available on a 'room only’ basis (MEALS NOT INCLUDED). 

During your stay at Merrifield House, you will find a kettle, teapot, teacups, tea, coffee, sugar, milk (long-life) in your room, so you can make yourself a brew in the comfort of your room.

We also have a cosy outside snug where you are welcome to enjoy a change of scenery, make yourself a hot drink with the refreshments provided and/or collect fresh milk to take back to your room. You also have access to a shared space with comfortable seating, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery and glasses.

We have collaborated with a local businesses; The Church House Inn, our closest restaurant in Churchstow can provide you with a delicious selection of breakfast choices; and with Feast Kitchen, an excellent local catering/food delivery company, who are very happy to deliver freshly prepared and tasty breakfast options to you during your stay. Nearby restaurants and cafes can provide a selection of meal options, and we are happy to recommend other local eating establishments for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks. Please see our Food & Drink page for more details.

In addition, there are two village stores approx. 1.5 miles away in Churchstow and Aveton Gifford, should you wish to pick up any basic supplies.

YOGA & TREATMENTS AT MERRIFIELD HOUSE

Merrifield House is home to Simply Soulful Yoga & Therapies. 

There is a dedicated yoga studio and treatment room on-site, offering weekly yoga classes, yoga workshops, retreats and holistic treatments (massage, reflexology, reiki). 

Packages are also offered for relaxation & wellbeing days and corporate team building. 

During the summer months SUP Yoga and Beach Yoga is also available in Kingsbridge, Hope Cove, Bantham and South Milton.
