Having experienced first-hand the benefits of practising yoga throughout her pregnancy, birth and beyond, Ivy was inspired to teach yoga to all.
Ivy has over 21 years of experience as a nurse and a health visitor and has been practising yoga since she was a child. She qualified as a yoga teacher in 2008 and has since specialised in pre and postnatal, baby, toddler and pre-school yoga.
YOGIMAMA - Pregnancy Yoga
Public health research has revealed that reduction of stress in pregnancy not only improves the neurodevelopment of babies in the womb but also in the neonatal months and in early childhood.
YOGIBABY&ME - Mother and Baby Yoga
Yoga for babies combines touching, stroking, handling and movement which brings about a powerful multi sensory stimulation for babies. Touching alone has been shown to improve the function of all the body’s systems.
YOGIBUNNIES - Toddler & Pre-School Yoga
There are few activities that small children actually do better than adults but yoga is certainly one of them. They are flexible, energetic and have incredible imaginations.
Ivy is passionate about pre and postnatal care and believes yoga to be a wonderful avenue for connecting mind and body that can benefit parents, carers, baby and child in a fun and active way. Ivy believes yoga should be accessible to all. Her classes are suitable for beginners or for those who would like to adapt their regular yoga practice.
