A giant Kraken made from things washed up on our beaches, an immersive seascape video, stunning photographs, sculptures and wall hangings made from found objects will all be in Harbour House Gallery in Kingsbridge from 6-11 August.

Local artists The House Group  also gained sponsorship from local businesses to give sixty children from primary schools in Thurlestone and West Alvington three “teach on the beach” sessions.  Marchand Petit ,  The Plastic Company, Thurlestone School Friends and Kingsbridge TIC also contributed.  Children then had a workshop with award winning poet Clare Wigzell ,  and the children’s poetry will be displayed in the gallery. There will also be some children’s activities available.

Its members, Alison Theaker, Ella Theaker and Rod Birtles have all had artworks exhibited at Harbour House in past Open Exhibitions.  Prtevious exhibitions have also included The Magic Forest (2014) and Sea Sense (2016).
