A three-week programme for adults living in the Kingsbridge area, who have limited mobility but would like to engage with the natural environment.
Activities on the programme will include; bird identification, plant identification and invertebrate identification.
The FSC is an environmental education charity specialising in outdoor learning experiences.Sessions will be held at Slapton Ley Field Centre and will provide participants with the opportunity to engage with the natural environment, builtaround the principles of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing; Be Active, Take Notice, Give, Keep Learning & Connect.
Sessions will be for 3 consecutive weeks, approximately 2 hours long. Group size will be a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10, adhering to current Covid-safe guidelines.
All sessions are free.
Sessions are open to those living in the area who feel that they would benefit from attending. Needs could be, but not limited to, those suffering from anxiety & depression, those who have been recommended physical and mental activity, and those experiencing loneliness.
There are (limited) funds available to help with travel costs for those who would like to attend.
