Join us for a public discussion - an opportunity for residents of our constituency to participate constructively in how to address the many nature and climate challenges ahead which are bound to affect every one of us.
South Devon will see dramatic changes in the coming decades as increases in flooding and extreme weather continue to escalate. Half of the UK’s natural biodiversity is now gone - 97% of our wildflower meadows have disappeared along with a terrifying 60% decline in flying insects.
With such huge challenges ahead, the event ‘Nature and Climate - What next for Totnes Constituency?’ invites us to come together to discuss the impact of the climate and biodiversity crisis in our region.
It will be a chance to celebrate and find out more about the grassroots work already being carried out here by a huge variety of different groups. We will also examine how the Climate and Ecology Bill might support our leaders to take urgent action.
The event is being organised by Kingsbridge Climate Action, Wild About Kingsbridge, and Till the Coast is Clear, in collaboration with Zero Hour Devon.
With an invited panel composed of
– plus the participation of an invited audience of organisations and individuals such as yourselves, we expect a lively and informative discussion.
