Orienteering Family Fun Day

Two different fun Orienteering courses for all the family.

If you enjoy a walk in the countryside and would like the added pleasure of finding specific locations on the way - this event is ideal for you! No prior knowledge is required and guidance is provided at the start.
For those who like to be competitive, a prize will be given to the fastest time on each course*.

The two trails are:
Watkins Wood - Shorter trail, 2 KM, 9 markers to find, lasting approx 1 hour, ideal for those with younger children or adults who'd prefer a shorter walk*
Woodleigh Woods - Longer trail, 5 KM, 10 markers to find, lasting approx 2 hours, ideal for families with older children
(*Note that only those with a child/children under 10 will be eligible for the fastest time prize on the shorter trail)

Your team can comprise of up to four people; however, you are welcome to join up with other teams and follow the trail together. Or why not race against them and see who is the fastest? Alternatively, you can just enjoy a pleasant stroll around the woods on your own.

Six start times are available: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm
Please pick a time slot and arrive within 15 mins of it.

All proceeds made will go to our two sea scouts, William Curzon and Lola Ladds, who have been selected for next year's World Scout Jamboree in South Korea.
