20 artists and craft workers in gazebos in the beautiful setting of Royal Avenue Gardens, alongside the River Dart.
Music, tombola, teas, homemade cakes and snacks.
In aid of Children's Hospice South West.
Children’s Hospice South West was founded by Eddie Farwell and his late wife, Jill, after they experienced for themselves the urgent need for hospice care for children in the South West. The charity now has three hospices in the region, meaning that none of over 500 families they support has to travel more than 1½ hours to access support. This costs over £11 million every year. Only 17% of this is provided by government, the rest has to be raised by fundraising. More information about CHSW is available at www.chsw.org.uk.
Dartmouth and District Friends Group is a small band of very committed volunteers who work hard to raise funds for this extremely worthwhile charity. The group meets regularly to organise events locally and new volunteers are always most welcome.
