ATV & UTV MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN

We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer / Vehicle Technician to work on ATV, Utility Vehicles and Equipment to join our team based between Totnes and Kingsbridge in South Devon. Working within an established team you shall have a track record of working on mechanical vehicles to the highest standard within a busy environment either in our workshop or on a customer's site.

 

We would expect that you are totally comfortable working on petrol and diesel engines, electrics and drive trains found on modern vehicles with at the very least basic computing skills and a high standard of paperwork and reporting is a big part of the job.

 

Specific experience on ATV's and Utility Vehicles is not necessary (although a benefit) we will ensure your current skills are transferred successfully and provide model specific training required on an ongoing basis.

Salary dependent on experience and abilities but will be competitive.

 

DAILY DUTIES INCLUDE:

Carry out services, repairs, build and PDI on a variety of utility vehicles, quads and equipment

Perform diagnostic testing to identify faults

Visiting customers to carry out servicing, repairs and fault finding on site

Build and PDI quads and utility vehicles

Maintain a safe and productive work environment

Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed thoroughly and with accuracy

Following assignments through to completion, meeting deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

Relevant qualification in mechanics / light vehicle maintenance and repairs and/or more than 2 years mechanical experience

Must own a stocked toolbox

A current valid Driving License

Good communication skills, you will be in contact with customers

Team player with a flexible manner and a hands-on approach

The ability to manage your time and workload effectively with minimum supervision

This role can be physical, so an appropriate level of physical fitness is required
