KATS announces its next musical performance

The KATS - Kingsbridge Amateur Theatrical Society - crew have announced their next musical performance.

KATS have announced that their next project will be the hilarious and popular Calendar Girls.

Following on from their "cheeky" performance of Dolly Parton's 9-5 The Musical (read the full review HERE), the team are now taking on Calendar Girls by Tim Firth and Juliette Towhidi, and you will be able to catch it in September.

Calendar Girls was made world famous by the 2003 film adaptation starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters at the head of a star-studded cast. It is based on a true story of a group of middle-aged Yorkshire women who produced a nude calendar to raise money for Leukaemia Research, under the auspices of the Women's Institute, after the husband of one of their members dies from cancer.

KATS is always on the look out for new members, not just performers but all the "important crew members who make our production possible", so if you would be interested, you can contact them via their Facebook page, website or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Read-throughs will take place in May, followed by auditions, rehearsals start in June and you will be able to be a lucky audience member between 21-24 September. We'll let you know when you can get your hands on tickets!
