Unethical parking charge
(Updated: March 06, 2025)
Me too!! £100. I parked there to take my two kids 3 and 7 to the library and went home. On the way home my neuro divergent daughter started crying saying she's forgotten her unicorn teddy. We had to go back to get it off course otherwise she won't sleep and it would cause major anxiety etc for her. She's only 3 so can't yet regulate her little emotions. When I got back there I parked up safely with kids and husband still sat in the car and quickly ran in to find it. After 8 minutes I finally found it inside the reading tent! We thanks staff for their help and left very sharp. Then I got the letter. I called the librarian who had helped me to find three teddy and explained the ticket to her. She wrote an email to me to use as evidence for the mitigating circumstances and yet they won't appeal the charge. It's a totally unethical and despicable charge and I'm in process of the appeal with ADR, citizens advise and then I'll be forced to take them to the small claims court. Honestly the nerve of stone of these companies. Have they no heart at all. 8 minutes!!!
