Hare Spring Cottage Plants

Welcome to Hare Spring Cottage Plants, nestled in a lush green valley in the South Hams area of South Devon.

We are proud to be an independent family-run hardy plant nursery and hold 3 National Plant Collections – Camassia, Sidalcea & Uvularia, as well as growing a wide range of hardy perennials – all of which will add colour, structure, movement and seasonal interest to a plethora of planting schemes as well as encouraging beneficial insects into your garden spaces.

We exhibit at all the major horticultural events in the UK and have won many RHS gold medals for our displays. In 2025 we were incredibly proud to be awarded the accolade of RHS Master Grower.

Our plants are available to order online all year around and we offer our highly sought after Camassia bulbs for sale both as potted plants and as dry bulbs in the autumn.

We hold 3 Nursery Open Weekends every year – details of which can be found on our website under EVENTS. We are also happy to host Private Nursery Visits – email us for further information.

Our Nursery Workshops are popular and get booked up quickly – details of current availability on our website.

Stella is also an experienced speaker and can be booked to give talks to groups and societies.
