Meadow Barn Farm offers a mixture of low-impact and off-grid farm holiday accommodation in gorgeous South Devon. Close to Salcombe and the region's best beaches, it's a beautiful place to rewild, unwind and relax.

We are a family run small holding in East Portlemouth, offering a unique mixture of off-grid and low impact accommodation in Devon. Based in an incredible location near the coast in the South Hams AONB, we offer unique farm and coastal holidays at our boat, cabin, shepherds hut and self-catering cottage, all available to book online.

Eco holidays in Devon

Aside from the Old Cow Shed, the rest of the accommodation at Meadow Barn Farm is off-grid and low-impact. With no mains electricity or utilities, and no WiFi, our eco-friendly accommodation is designed to help you reset in nature, pausing from the digital world temporarily while you give yourself a much needed break.

There are places to charge your phone on site, of course, and 4G signal is available in most places, but we're confident that after a couple of days on the farm you'll forget all about it. Guests are also encourage to bring their bikes or borrow some of ours for fun eco-friendly adventures.

To encourage more people to leave their car at home, we offer a 10% discount to anyone staying in our shepherd's hut, Oyster the Boat or Driftwood Cabin and arriving by public transport. We'll even help you with the final leg of your journey. Just contact us for further details.

Life on the farm

A stay on Meadow Barn Farm offers you the chance to get back in touch with nature. Home to a wonderful array of cheeky and lovable animals, guests return year after year to enjoy a Devon farm holiday with us.

From the chickens who think they rule the place, to our extremely inquisitive Ouessant miniature sheep, the animals here at Meadow Barn Farm are full of character. Other residents include Devon Large Black pigs, Devon Closewool sheep and Rudy the dog. It truly is a magical spot to immerse yourself in the natural world with no one but these fabulous animals for company.
