Dartmouth and Kingsbridge Fire Stations were called to a barbecue on fire, which later spread.
The fire crews were called to East Portlemouth following a call "reporting a barbecue on fire, with concerns about the fire spreading to a nearby car".
When they arrived, they discovered that there was a barbecue on fire, along with a "floating pontoon generator and a motor vehicle in a private car park".
Crews used breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
The crews arrived just before 4pm on 3 August and left the scene just after 7pm.
