The hotel is situated in three acres of grounds, in the spectacular South Devon countryside and enjoys a south facing aspect with sea views. The area is renowned for its natural beauty and boasts one of the best climates to be found in Britain.
The original building dates from the seventeenth century but the facade was rebuilt in 1814. In recent years it has been extended and improved and now offers modern facilities and ample parking whilst retaining its original charm and character.
Stoke Lodge has been run by the Mayer family for over forty years. We pride ourselves in being a family friendly hotel and providing our guests with an easy and efficient service in relaxing and informal surroundings. The perfect place for a great holiday.

Blackpool Sands, only a couple of minutes away by car, is our local award-winning beach. Its picture-postcard looks and safe bathing make it a big favourite for families. 

The charming town of Dartmouth is only slightly further away. Steeped in history, it was once one of the busiest ports in the country and in 1620 it was from Bayards Cove that The Mayflower and Speedwell set sail, carrying the Pilgrim Fathers on their historic voyage to America. 

Dartmouth Castle is one of the most picturesquely situated fortresses in England and has stood guard over the Dart estuary and the port of Dartmouth for over 600 years.
You can enjoy many of the stunning sights of the river Dart and the local coastline from the comfort of a pleasure boat or ferry: regular and frequent services operate throughout the season. Or, as a special treat, evoke gentle memories of a bygone age and take a leisurely trip on a steam train along the Dart Valley to Paignton.

Rooms

The accommodation at Stoke Lodge is spacious and comfortable.
The Hotel has twenty four, individually styled, bedrooms.
All have a modern, private ensuite bathroom with shower and are fully equipped with colour television, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Most have king size beds.
All bedrooms are centrally heated and some have sea views.
Once you are settled into your room, why not sample one of our excellent cream teas or enjoy a quiet drink in the bar.
Our staff are skilled in providing friendly, efficient and unobtrusive service. Our aim is to serve you - what you need, when you want it. 

Restaurant & Food

you enjoy delicious food, locally sourced wherever possible, expertly prepared and beautifully presented, each visit to the Garden Restaurant will prove a real treat. 

Using the finest meats, freshly caught fish and farm- fresh vegetables, our chef produces an extensive table d’hôte menu which changes daily. An à la carte menu is also available. Vegetarian options are always on offer and special diets can be catered for on request. 

A comprehensive and carefully chosen wine list ensures that whatever your choice of food, we have a wine to compliment it.
