Ivybridge Town Council has earmarked money to provide youth work and activities in the town and have been unable to find a youth work organisation to partner with.
The Town Council has some money "put aside" to deliver youth work and activities in the town in the year to March 2023 and has said that due to "the youth work sector being extremely stretched at the moment", they have been unable to find a charity partner.
In order to find a partner, the council reached out on social media, saying: "If you or your organisation would like to deliver an activity for young people in the town then please get in touch and the council can consider a grant to help you deliver it.
"Please bear in mind it would have to be something new for young people, or making something that exists now more accessible to young people. It should also be focused on those that live in Ivybridge parish and ideally delivered within the town too.
"You would need to be able to demonstrate appropriate experience and safeguarding arrangements, but the Council will also consider the costs of safeguarding training."
