Kingsbridge Amateur Theatrical Society has won two awards at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association Awards on Saturday night. 

KATS won the South Devon Achievement Award and the Best Small Musical Production for their performance of the Dolly Parton musical 9-5

A spokesperson for KATS said: "What an incredible night we had at the NODA South West Awards last night! We were thrilled to receive both the 'District 4 Achievement Award' and also scoop the Award for 'Best Small Musical Production'.

"Enormous thanks go to Iain Douglas for his continued support and to our insanely creative and experienced producer and designer Jill Brock, our masterful MD Julian Ronnie, our enthusiastic chair Jules McColl, our hardworking committee, sensational cast, professional sound and lighting crew, our uber competent stage manager, our skilled set builders and designers, costume department, exceptional musicians, front of house, backstage helpers, hairdressers, make-up, advertisers, publicity and social media department, website and programme designer, our audition panel, photographer, MAD, Dodbrooke Malborough Village Hall and our loyal and appreciative audiences (oh and the director and choreographer was quite good too!)  

"We are small but mighty!"
