SHDC plan to charge for parking at new Dartmouth Health and Wellbeing Centre

South Hams District Council are planning to charge for parking at the new Dartmouth Health and Wellbeing Centre that is due to open in the next few months.

South Hams District Council has given notice that it plans to charge for parking at the new Dartmouth Health and Wellbeing Centre or Health Hub, which is currently under construction.

The charges would be £1 for up to an hour, £2.20 for up to two hours and £3.60 for up to three hours.

There would be a 'Dartmouth Health Hub Reserved Parking Permit' for "health hub staff use" but there would only be 24 of them issued. After that they would cost £346 a year.

The site will house the Dartmouth GP surgery, Dartmouth Caring, a pharmacy, and health and volunteer sector services.

The hope is for the builders to move off the site on 14 April this year and for the public to begin using the centre at the beginning of May.

The building will be officially opened on 9 May 2023.
