Warcombe Produce Ltd

Warcombe Produce Ltd is a family farming business growing potatoes, cereals and with a beef rearing herd - Owned & Managed by Chris and Sarah Lidstone, with their sons Ben and James heading the workforce in Kingsbridge, South Devon. 

Potatoes are at the heart of the business, growing 300 acres annually for supermarket packing houses, wholesale markets and retail customers.

Potatoes are grown, graded and packed on site to control the quality and timings. 

We start harvesting in July with Marfona and harvest through the summer. Leading into main-crop and storing in our on-site cold stores in September and harvest is hopefully due to finish by late October. 

Potatoes are stored in 1.1 Tonne wooden boxes  in our cold stores with a capacity of 4000 tonne on-site which will be used to supply our customers and our own packing facility through the winter until the next years crop. 

We bag dirty and washed samples, and run a boxed baker line for the baked potato trade. 

 Main crop varieties grown include; Maris Piper, Estima, Melody, Nectar & Performer.   

Customers range from the lorry load to the bag at the gate.
