Impressive view of the Salcombe RNLI lifeboat launching to three paddleboarders was caught on camera on Saturday.
The all-weather lifeboat Baltic Exchange III was launched on Saturday afternoon to reports of three paddleboarders struggling to get ashore in Challaborough Bay.
It turned out to be an easy shout for Salcombe RNLI in the end, as the paddleboarders had managed to get themselves to safety just before the lifeboat arrived on the scene.
A spokesperson for the RNLI said: "Shortly after its arrival on scene the lifeboat crew received confirmation that all persons had made their way back to shore safely. The Lifeboat was stood down and returned to station."
You can watch the lifeboat leaving its mooring and heading for Challaborough below:
Although this turned out to be a situation where the lifeboat wasn't needed in the end, we are so lucky to have our local volunteer RNLI crews ready to save lives at sea. You can find out more about the Salcombe RNLI on their website: rnli.org/salcombe-lifeboat-station
