The South Hams Art Trail 2026 now features mini-trails!

Discover creativity across the South Hams this autumn, as the South Hams Arts Forum Art Trail returns with mini-trails! 

This much-loved annual event, Saturday 10th-Sunday 25th October, invites visitors to explore the work of local artists and makers in studios, galleries, halls and homes throughout the South Hams.

Organised by the South Hams Art Forum, an artist-led collective, the Arts Trail celebrates the talent, imagination, and craftsmanship of artists working across the region.

As in every year, the trail continues to offer a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists face to face, hear the stories behind their work and see creativity in action.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of media, including painting, printmaking, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, sculpture, woodcraft, mixed media and more. Many venues will also offer the chance to purchase original pieces directly from the makers, making the trail ideal for anyone looking for a unique artwork, handmade gift, or inspiration for their home.

However, this year the Trail is divided into mini-trails – which invites visitors to enjoy the local beauty as much as its art. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the South Hams, the Arts Trail is also a chance to explore the area itself.

From coastal villages and market towns to hidden studios and welcoming public spaces, each stop reveals something new. Whether you are an art enthusiast, a curious visitor, a family looking for a creative day out or a supporter of local talent, the trail offers a relaxed and inspiring experience.

Entry to the arts trail is typically free, though workshops may be charged separately. Individuals are encouraged to check individual opening times before travelling.
