In the lead-up to Christmas, what better way to relax and unwind than a delicious carvery or evening meal at one of the South Ham’s landmark pubs.

The Ring O’ Bells at West Alvington near Kingsbridge was taken over by Ryan Kilgannon and his partner Hayley in August. Building on their previous successes and long experience in the catering trade, Ryan and Hayley are relishing this new challenge.

‘Our hallmark is a menu based on freshly prepared local produce, the kind of food that people want to eat and will have them returning again and again for more,’ says Ryan. Dishes like hog roast pork and apple pate served with chunky toast, for example, or salmon fillet drizzled with hollandaise and chive sauce served with new potatoes and green beans. Both options along with many others can be pre-ordered from their Christmas menu available from 1st December.

If you can’t wait until then, Ryan and Hayley are pulling out all the stops on Bonfire Night, Sunday November 5 th . Join them for a fabulous barbeque, live music and fireworks. This fun evening promises to be very popular so make sure you book in advance.

If it’s a Sunday carvery you’re after, you can choose typically from succulent joints of beef, pork or turkey served with tasty seasonal freshly prepared vegetables. ‘We serve from mid-day all the way through to 4pm and we’re both family- and dog-friendly,’ says Hayley. ‘We do all the cooking ourselves so we know people will be both surprised and delighted by the high quality of the food we serve.’

Tempted? Well, it gets better! One lucky couple will have the chance to sample a Ring O’ Bells Sunday carvery for FREE (excluding drinks). For your chance to win this fantastic prize, see our Facebook post for how to enter (ends 12 noon 8th November 2017). The winner will be notified on the closing date with details of how to claim their prize. Good luck!

The Ring O’ Bells at West Alvington TQ7 3PG is open every day from 8.30am for breakfasts through to 11pm. For more information you can contact Ryan and Hayley on 01548 857227.
