Fire destroys caravan, car and a temporary structure

A fire has destroyed a caravan, a car and a temporary structure in Yealmpton. 

Crews from Plymstock, Ivybridge, and the water carrier from Plympton, attended a fire involving a motor home, car, and temporary structure yesterday, Wednesday, 7 December, at around 8.45am.

Crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one main jet, one compressed air foam jet, and one thermal imaging camera. Crews removed six gas cylinders and cooled them to make them safe.

The crew left the scene at around 11.30pm. 

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental, due to a battery charger.
