Holiday Letting Secrets Event Draws Strong Crowd in Salcombe

Coast & Country Cottages welcomed more than 40 holiday home owners, prospective investors and industry professionals to its ‘Holiday Letting Secrets’ event on Wednesday 28th January at the Harbour Hotel, Salcombe.

The evening brought together like‑minded individuals for expert insights, networking, and the official launch of the 2026 Coast & Country Cottages Market Insights Report.

The presentation was led by Victoria Rogers, PR Executive at Coast & Country Cottages. She said “The atmosphere in the room was fantastic, and it was a pleasure to share our latest market insights with so many engaged people. We know how valuable real, local data is when making decisions about holiday letting, so being able to discuss the trends shaping 2026 with owners face-to-face was a real highlight.”

Attendees were the first to receive Coast & Country Cottages’ 2026 Market Insights Report, a data-rich guide designed to support owners navigating the evolving South Devon holiday letting market. This year’s report highlights a resilient and fastmoving landscape, with bookings per property rising 5% year-on-year, peak summer occupancy averaging 82%, and a continued surge in traveller behaviour such as short breaks, last minute bookings and demand for pet-friendly stays. Trends like flexible arrival patterns and the growing influence of younger staycationers provide a clear picture of how guest expectations are shifting—and how owners can adapt to maximise success.

Guests also enjoyed networking with representatives from Zeal Tax, POSH Hamper Co, Philip Meek Mortgages, Sabre Insurance Services, and Bartons Solicitors, who were on hand to offer expert guidance throughout the evening.

A complimentary buffet and drinks reception rounded off the event, giving attendees the opportunity to continue conversations with the Coast & Country Cottages team in a relaxed setting.

The full 2026 Market Insights Report is now available to download for free via the Coast & Country Cottages blog. Visit coastandcountry.co.uk/blog to access a copy and explore the trends shaping the South Devon holiday let market in 2026.
