Having worked outside of the South Hams for over 20 years, Sara is delighted to now have the opportunity to work much closer to home. She is a registered podiatrist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) who regulate all health care professionals and a member of the Royal College of Podiatry.

Services

Routine Foot Care - Depending on your individual needs a routine foot care appointment can provide a range of treatments which include; Nail cutting/reduction, fungal nail treatments/advice, hard skin and corn removal. All Diabetic patients will receive a full specialist assessment to pick up concerns and protect your feet. Verruca treatment, including topical applications or Swift microwave therapy.

Gait Analysis & Orthotics - Biomechanical assessments are available to treat and rehabilitate certain conditions affecting the feet and or lower limbs, or to just simply improve the way we stand, walk and move. A structual sensor is used to scan the feet for orthoses provided by a specialist orthotics lab. There are also a range of off the shelf insoles available with or without adaptions.

Nail Surgery - A surgical procedure to remove part or all of the nail under local anaesthetic. This can provide resolution to painful ingrowing toenails. The procedure involves removing a section or all of the nail and phenol may be used to prevent regrowth if required. This can be carried out in clinic after an initial nail surgery assessment.

Shockwave Therapy - For soft tissue injuries such achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. This is a non-invasive treatment directed at the area being treated, where it stimulates the body's natural healing process. If you have chronic foot pain this treatment could be beneficial in getting your foot healed.
