Knifepoint robbery in Plymstock one of three in Plymouth over four days

Police are appealing for information following three reports of knifepoint robbery which occurred last week.

The incidents occurred at Betfred in Plymstock on Wednesday, 11 October, Neswick Stores in Stonehouse on Friday, 13 October, and Co-op on Salisbury Road, St Judes on Sunday, 15 October.

Detectives are currently treating these incidents as linked and have arrested two men, aged 39 and 40, in connection to the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Ben Ferguson said: “We are continuing to appeal for information in connection to the incidents which were reported to us last week.

“Today we have released an image of two potential witnesses that we would like to identify and speak to, as they may have information which could assist us. I would stress that we wish to speak to them purely as witnesses, they are not believed to be linked to any offences.”

DS Ferguson added: “In all three incidents, a man has entered a premises brandishing a knife whilst making threats to staff. They left with cash from the till.

“Two men from Plymouth have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody at this time.”

The incidents occurs at Betfred, Plymstock, around 7pm on 11 October; at Newswick Stores, Stonehouse, around 8.55pm on 13 October and at Co-op St Judes, at around 2pm on 15 October.
