One man is still on the run after a Range Rover crashed into another vehicle in the lane between Kingsbridge and Start Point, and the occupants left the scene.

UPDATE 12 September: A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Enquiries are ongoing on this one. No arrest as of yet."

The black Range Rover was reported to be "driving erratically" before it crashed into another vehicle in the lane between Cousin's Cross and Chivelstone Cross on Saturday, 2 September.

After the crash, the Range Rover left the scene and police say the two male occupants "decamped and run off into nearby fields".

A spokesperson for Ivybridge Neighbourhood Team said: "South Hams officers supported by the National Police Air Service (that’s a Police helicopter, in old money) are conducting a search. One male has been detained and one is still outstanding.

"Described as a white male, mid 20s, slim build wearing a black waistcoat, black jeans, short sandy coloured hair with a slight mullet with a tattoo high on his neck and onto face. If seen, call 999 quoting Log 0592 020923.

"Thank you."
