Plympton Fire Station's car wash raises more than £1500 for The Fire Fighters Charity

Plympton Fire Crew raised £1,505 for The Fire Fighters Charity with a car wash on Sunday. 

The Fire Fighters Charity exists to "help all serving and retired members of the UK's fire family to live healthier and happier". They ensure fire fighters and their families can "easily access empowering information, advice and support, whenever they need it". 

A spokesperson for Plympton Fire Station said: "We cannot thank you all enough for coming down and supporting this amazing cause. 

"A big thank you to the On call crew from Crownhill Fire Station for supporting us at this event for the whole day.

"Our raffle winners have all been contacted and we would like to say a massive thank you to the below businesses who supported the day with supplying us raffle prizes:

  • Mila’s Bakery 
  • The Brook Inn
  • Plympton Swimming Pool
  • Co-op
  • Plymouth Parkway FC
  • Currys 
  • Preston’s Butchers - Ridgeway 

"A massive thank you to Plymouth Argyle Football Club for sending Pilgrim Pete down to support to support our event!"

The spokesperson added: "Best of luck to you boys on Sunday at Wembley Stadium connected by EE and all those travelling, we hope you have a great time away and also a safe journey !
