Police are appealing for witnesses after biker seriously injured
FeaturedNewDevon and Cornwall Police are investigating a serious road traffic collision in Plympton on Monday and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers were notified just before 5pm on Monday, 5 October, of a two-vehicle collision on Plymouth Road, close to the junction with Cot Hill Close, Plympton.
A green Triumph Tiger 955l was in collision with a white Volkswagen Scirocco.
The rider of the motorcycle, a local man in his 60s, sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver and the passenger of the car were uninjured and remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.
Local road closures were put in place while specialist and local officers attended the scene and conducted a thorough investigation.
