South Hams-based wedding photographer Martyn Norsworthy wins bronze in World’s Top 10 Wedding Photos Competition 2021.

Kingsbridge-based Martyn Norsworthy – a Finalist in last year’s One Eyeland World’s Top 10 Wedding Photos Competition – is not only a finalist for a second successive year but another of his stunning images has been awarded Bronze in what Martyn considers one of the hardest contests in the industry.

Martyn explained “The judging is, understandably, intense and across multiple levels. It really is an incredibly tough nut to crack with only two photographers from the UK becoming Finalists so I am delighted to not only have two winning entries but to have secured a bronze in my fifth year of entering.”

He is especially proud as none of his entries are ever shot specifically for competitions but are all ‘real life’ images from actual weddings.

He continued: “When those entries are successful, it underscores that even within the tight time frames available ‘on the day’, I can deliver international award-winning quality photographs for my clients to treasure for ever. It proves you don’t have to spend ages setting up a staged shot to capture a moment of magic.”

One Eyeland is an online platform showcasing photographers’ work from around the globe, with judging at both international level and within each country. Even once adjudged a winner, there is a further selection process whereby only the top two percent of images are invited to appear within the annual volume of One Eyeland’s Best of The Best Photographers.

Regarded as ‘not just a book, a collectors’ item’, this is the industry’s bible - a Who’s Who of international photographers - and Martyn’s work will now feature in both the 2020 and 2021 editions.

Martyn’s achievement in the One Eyeland World’s Top 10 Wedding Photos Competition follows on from multiple successes at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels in the PX-3 French Open and IPA Competitions and the Moscow International Photo Awards. Martyn is also a consistent winner in the Guild of Professional Photographers Image of the Month Competition, often with several images each time.
