Crash involving motorbike closes A38 - road now open
The A38 was closed in the Exeter direction at Lee Mill after a crash involving a motorbike.
The incident, which occurred just before 9am, closed the A38 for seven hours. It was a two vehicle collision and a motorcyclist was airlifted from the scene. He has been transferred to Derriford Hospital with suspected leg injuries.
Ivybridge Police posted to say that their officers were still on scene at around 2pm.
Devon and Cornwall Police Sgt Canning said: "Officers are still on scene following a serious collision near A38 Lee Mill (Eastbound). Collision investigators are likely to be at the scene for at least another two hours meaning one lane will remain closed.
"Traffic is queued right back to Marsh Mills where there is also significant disruption. We are working to clear the scene as soon as possible Vs what must be a thorough and professional investigation."
Tailbacks reached Marsh Mills roundabout.
The road was fully reopened just after 4pm.
