A fatal collision involving a van and a pedestrian has occurred in Modbury, police are on scene. 

Ivybridge and Rural Police posted on social media. They said: "Serious road traffic collision in the centre of Modbury, roads closed for the foreseeable.
"If you need to get to the other side, Bigbury, Kingsbridge direction the best current route is to head to Totnes. The Loddiswell route is also very busy with traffic at standstill at places.
"Thank you for your patience while our traffic Officers work at the scene."
