Fire crews battle lorry fire
Fire crews from Totnes attended a large vehicle fire in the Higher Lillisford area.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called just after 10.30am on Monday, 6 June, to a large HGV carrying horse feed. The vehicle had a fire involving the battery compartment.
The fire had been partially extinguished prior to fire service arrival using a foam extinguisher. However, firefighters completed the job and used a thermal imaging camera to ensure that the fire was fully extinguished and cooled.
The cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
