Kingsbridge Fire Crew was called at 1.15am to deal with flooding and mudslides in South Huish.
This morning, 5 October, at around 1.15am, the crew were called to a flooding call at South Huish.
On arrival a spokesperson said: "We found a foot of mud on the road leading down to the properties and a foot of mud against the front doors of both houses. We also had to deal with the mud and water slurry backed up the paths and against the gates. After clearing the paths and steps to gain access, we forced open the back gate to allow the resident of one property to move next door and stay with her neighbours, along with her dog (thank you for that).
"We dug through the mud to leave a gully just in case it rained again so it would have a channel to follow past the property’s and out into the garden we returned home at around 4.40 am."
