Kingsbridge In Bloom wins again

Kingsbridge In Bloom have come away from the Southwest In Bloom awards ceremony with a new haul.

Kingsbridge In Bloom has won a Gold medal and the SWTA [South West Tourism Association] cup for the Best Small Town in the south west at the Southwest in Bloom ceremony!

Earlier this week at the National Britain in Bloom 2022 results ceremony, they won a Small Town - Gold certificate, the Horticultural Excellence Award - Overall winner, and their chair Graham Price has won the Community Champion award for leading the Kingsbridge In Bloom team for 15 years.

KIB chair Graham Price said: "Fabulous occasion and top awards. Feedback at judges' surgery is very positive. Thanks to all KIB volunteers for your dedication and support which has given us gold recognition at highest level this year."

Clerk to Kingsbridge Town Council, Martin Johnson, said: "Kingsbridge In Bloom continue, year upon year, to excel.

"We’re probably all running out of superlatives here, and quite rightly, because to win a Small Town Category Gold Certificate, the overall Horticultural Excellence Award and Community Champion acknowledgement for Cllr Graham Price is simply amazing and we are in awe of this team of volunteers for their dedication, enthusiasm and sheer hard work.

"Hats off to the entire team we are so grateful for what you do for Kingsbridge."

Congratulations to the team!
