A 20-year-old from Kingsbridge has finished the London Marathon in an "elite time" and is going from strength to strength.

Chloe Weeks, from Kingsbridge, posted a great time for her age group for the Manchester Marathon last year and this year set her sights on the London Marathon.

Held on Sunday, 21 April, Chloe completed the London Marathon 2024 in 3.25.59, which, according to Running Level, is an elite time for her age.

The fastest woman this year, Peres Jepchirchir completed the race less than an hour faster at 2:16:16.

Chloe's mum Karen said: "She trained so hard, with help from her dad, even with injuries. I'm super proud of her as it has been a struggle, but she got through and committed herself in finishing in the race. It was such an amazing day, watching her look so confident, and the crowds cheering her on."

Congratulations to Chloe for her amazing time in the marathon.
